About the Joint Guarantee Committee (CUG)

The Joint Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination, and Employee Well-being (CUG) is an internal administrative body established under Law No. 183 of November 4, 2010 (Art. 21), which the University of Genoa established by D.D.G. No. 19 of January 13, 2014, and reconstituted by D.D.G. No. 2137 of May 20, 2025.

The CUG is a joint body, both in terms of gender and composition.  In fact, it is composed  half of  members  appointed by  labor unions and half of representatives of the Administration.

Its operation is governed not only by the Statutes of the University of Genoa but also by internal regulations and the Guidelines on the operating procedures of the Joint Guarantee Committees issued by Civil Service Directive No. 2/2019.

The members of the CUG serve a four-year term and may be reappointed only once.
